Solar power is revolutionising the electricity supply

It is quite easy to connect a few PV systems to the electricity grid. However, if solar power accounts for more than 15-20% of annual consumption, measures such as line reinforcement and transformer replacement are no longer sufficient. Switzerland will achieve a 14% share of solar power this year. These are the challenges and proposed solutions.
