Alpine solar plants pay back their environmental impact in a few years

Alpine photovoltaics is central to the energy transition because saving energy and PV on roofs alone would not be nearly enough to cover the growing electricity shortfall in the winter months. Some environmental organisations are claiming this with flyers against Alpine PV. But let's not underestimate the project, as we want nothing less than to end the dependence on cheap fossil fuels and their supplier countries that has existed for a hundred years - that's no walk in the park.
